We love because God first loved us. We do not ever love to earn God’s love.
As we receive God’s love, we are touched, moved, and we are moved to love God, and to love those He loves.
I was about to write another post, in order to do something for God, but I realized that I was not giving out of response to His love — I was writing just to have been able to say I wrote, and check off a goal for the day, hoping that would impress my Father. But it won’t. I believe He wants me to write, but first I believe He wants me to receive from Him, be touched, moved, and want to share.
